Andrew Lam is a co-founder of New
America Media, an ethnic news association
bringing professional perspective to current
and cultural affairs.

He is a graduate of UC Berkeley, 1986,
becoming a "cowboy" in many ways as he
pursued his own goals and talents instead
of those required by his parents, a
prominent South Vietnamese immigrant
family.

Leaving microbiology behind, Andrew Lam
became a journalist and creative writer.  He
is a regular radio commentator on NPR.

Andrew's vision has brought him an
invitation to the American Academy of Arts
and Letters and many awards.
