“Two prison life stories” were written from the
true events I had experienced. Prison really was
a school of perseverance and hope, two lifebelts
keeping prisoners alive. But perseverance and
hope in killing fields require a prisoner should
have a goal to attain, a belief in the final victory
of the good over the evil.
The unique goal of my life was to survive, to write
about the horrors I had undergone in North Vietnam.
